Dear Everyone,

The flash and promise of technology has excited and galvanized so many of us. We want our lives to be more efficient, our schools to be more engaging and innovative, and our families to be more connected and safe.

Technology seems to be the perfect portal to achieve those goals, and it very much can be. Technology can also—when it’s overused or used in certain ways—distract us from our goals, overwhelm our senses, restrict learning, keep us more sedentary, and hinder our social and emotional development (among other things). We call this The Digital Dilemma.

We believe that every school community needs to embrace this double-edged nature of technology, and then commit to embracing digital wellness practices that empower learning, connection, and well-being for every parent, teacher, and student.

How does Everyschool.org help?

  • We raise awareness about the challenges tech poses in our homes and classrooms

  • We share research about how technology affects learning and well-being

  • We share resources for educators, parents, and students

We believe schools are uniquely situated to make an impact on this issue. We believe schools can lead the digital wellness revolution—and we’re here help.

Sincerely,
